MIDLAND - For the fourth straight month, sales tax revenue is up in Midland.

City officials say they took in more than 2.3 million dollars this month.

That's almost 9% over August of last year.

We're told the monthly increases since may have been slow and steady putting an end to the consecutive months of decreases from 2009 to 2010.

So far, Midland has collected almost 21 million dollars in sales tax revenue.
