ECTOR COUNTY - New details on a man accused of trying to run down a deputy more than a week ago.

He's out of the hospital and behind bars.

35-year-old Jose Baeza was released from the hospital on Wednesday morning.

Baeza was shot by Ector County deputies after he led them on a wild chase which reached speeds of up to 100 miles an hour.

The chase ended on Loop 338, south of the Interstate.

We're told Baeza tried to run a deputy down, trying to get away and that's when he was shot.

He's facing several charges including aggravated assault against a public servant.

His bond has been set at a little more than $42,000.

The Texas Rangers are investigating since there was an officer involved shooting.
