Hobbs Police Arrest Two Suspects in Connection With Weekend Drive-by Shooting

HOBBS, NEW MEXICO - Bullets, blood and two arrests in a suspected drive-by shooting in Hobbs over the weekend, but police have yet to find any victim.

So far, officers have arrested two men, 23-year-old Martin Trevizo and 31-year-old Roberto Bedallo.

Both are facing multiple charges from shooting from a vehicle to criminal property damage.

The shots fired call came in late Saturday night at the intersection of Shipp and Gypsy.

A witness told police he saw one of the men get out of the truck and fire multiple shots got back in the truck and drove away.

A few minutes later, police spotted the truck on Gypsy.

After pulling them over, officers say they found shell casings and bullets in the truck.

Later, they found two pistols.

Detectives reported finding blood in the intersection, bullet holes in a Jeep and a nearby motel.

Local hospitals never treated a gunshot victim and any victim's whereabouts remain unknown.
