MIDLAND - A good number of people showed up to hear what Democratic Gubernatorial Candidate Bill White had to say on running for Governor of Texas.

"I know how to squeeze value out of taxpayers money. The State budget has gone up 50% with Rick Perry. We're not getting the value. I want to prepare Texans for the future," White said.

White stopped in Midland to talk about his outlook on what improvements need to be made in the State of Texas and how he believes he would be the right person for the job.

"We need to prepare Texas for getting those good paying jobs; too many Texans aren't finishing high school. They need to have that technical education, that's what's going to drive our economic growth," White said.

White says he's confident that even in a majority Republican state, he has what it takes to make a positive change for the future of Texas.
