Jal Police Searching for Suspects Involved in Crime Spree

JAL, NEW MEXICO - Jal residents gripped in fear as police look for the ones responsible for crime spree, earlier this month.

Mayor Cheryl Chance tells NewsWest 9, the incident happened in the late night hours of July 15th into the early morning of July 16th. 

Authorities say they think a group of juveniles burglarized several unlocked cars and torched three of them

One truck was stolen, taken for a joy ride, and then set on fire.

Chance says there is a feeling of outrage that this could happen in their city.

Police are investigating several leads.
