ODESSA - Before the school bell rings, Ector County School officials are hoping to nip a drug problem in the bud.
On Monday, they announced a new Prescription Drug Safety Campaign to combat the rising number of students using over the counter and prescription drugs.
Parents are usually unknowingly the number one source of kids getting a hold of them.
School officials want this Public Service Announcement to educate parents and students on the dangers and to open the lines of communication.
The most common drugs found in schools are anti-depressants, OxyContin and cough syrups.
