MIDLAND - Midland Police Officers are asking for community support in raising money for one of their own.

Sergeant Brian Rackow was injured after an explosive device went off several weeks ago.

He's recovering from serious injuries to his hands and arms.

The officers are helping to collect cash for a prosthetic hand.

So far, they've raised a little over $7,000 after raffling off guns and pistols.

Midland Police are also working with LoneStar 92 raffling gift cards during the morning commute.

If you want to get involved, you can contact the City of Midland at 685-7582.

A fund is set up under the Sergeant Rackow Benefit at Community National Bank.
