Search Continues for Shooting Suspect in Hobbs

HOBBS, NEW MEXICO - The hunt continues for a man police in Hobbs say opened fire on another man after a late night fight at a local club.

Officers say they're looking for the man who shot 22-year-old Kameron O'Neal while both of them were in separate cars heading north on Turner Street.

The suspect shot and hit O'Neal's shoulder just after 2:00 am.

Apparently both O'Neal and the suspect first started fighting at the La Sierra Club on west Marland around closing time.

The shooting happened after the fight had broken up and both men had gone separate ways.

O'Neal was treated and released from the hospital.

Police say they are still investigating the details and have not released the suspect's name.
