A team of West Texas firefighters helping out in the aftermath of Hurricane Alex.
Firefighters from Midland, Odessa, and other parts of West Texas left early Thursday morning for New Braunfels.
They're ready to help out anywhere they're needed with food, water, and other essentials.
Midland Fire Marshal David Hickman says they could be in South Texas for about two weeks.
New Braunfels is the firefighter's first stop.
From there, they'll head down to the DDC in Hidalgo County.
