ODESSA - New details on a Permian High teacher arrested for having a relationship with a student.

He bonded out of jail late Wednesday night.

41-year-old Robert Young was released after paying a $20,000 bond.

Young is charged with having an inappropriate relationship with a student.

School officials were tipped off last week, and put him on paid leave.

Police arrested him Wednesday night at his home in Midland.

We're told the student involved is 18, and just graduated from Permian.

Even though she's considered an adult, under law, it's illegal for any educator to have a romantic relationship with a student.
