Search Continues for Shoplifting Suspect

ODESSA - Odessa Police still need your help to find the shoplifter who hit a security guard with his vehicle in the Music City Mall parking lot.

The robbery happened early Saturday afternoon near the north doors of the Sears at the Music City Mall.

Odessa Police say two men shoplifted from Sears then starting running.

Security was able to catch one of them but the second took off into the parking lot, jumped in his vehicle and starting backing up.

He struck a security guard chasing after him.

Police say that guard was driven to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect could face aggravated robbery charges.

On Sunday, officers released a description of that suspect.

They describe him as a black male with black hair and brown eyes.

He's 5'10", about 160 pounds and looks to be between 40 and 50 years old.

He was last seeing in a red or maroon Oldsmobile.
