PECOS - Pecos fire officials are still trying to figure out what started a fire at the Trans-Pecos Foods Plant late Friday night.

The Pecos Fire Marshal tells NewsWest 9, the flames sparked up in a trash - storage area east of the facility.

Right now, they can't figure out exactly what caused the sparks to ignite but high winds pushed the flames onto their storage shed.

Crews were able to keep the fire away from the main plant structure.

But that wasn't the end of fire damage over the weekend.

Another fire sparked at the Northside Apartments in the 300 block of 'F' Street on Saturday night.

Firefighters say it completely destroyed the inside of the apartment homes.

The flames spread to the neighboring complex creating heat and smoke damage.

Crews are still investigating.
