Man Arrested in Connection With Overnight Shooting in Odessa

ODESSA - One man is behind bars after an overnight shooting in Odessa.

The shooting happened just after two Tuesday morning as police were called to Medical Center Hospital.

Apparently, 27-year-old Richard Arredondo was shot while walking down an alley in the 1500 block of North Adams.

Arredondo was rushed to the hospital by a witness.

He's currently listed in critical condition.

Officers arrested 30-year-old Gerald Rodriguez and charged him with aggravated assault.

Investigators say they've recovered the gun used in the shooting.

No bond has been set.
