MIDLAND-- A new sight is coming to Midland's Centennial Plaza, just in time for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

The city council recently amended an ordinance to allow street vendors access to Centennial Plaza.

Licensed vendors will be serving up things from bar-b-que to hot dogs, giving people who work downtown or happen to be passing through, a different option when it comes to getting a bite to eat.

City officials say they'll start out small and go from there.

"We'll play it by ear and see how things go.  If it becomes an outcry for more, I'm sure we can go back to council and see if they're willing to expand it," Steve Thorpe, with City of Midland's Code Enforcement, said.

Three vendors per day will set up on the north side of Centennial Plaza on Texas Street.  They'll be open Monday through Saturday, from 7:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m.
