ODESSA - A new forensic pathologist is coming to Odessa to conduct autopsies locally.
That comes after an unexpected resignation.
This week, directors of the recently built Permian Basin Forensic Center announced Doctor Elizabeth Miller resigned for self-employment reasons.
Miller has been in Odessa since the facility first opened about three months ago.
Right now, the Forensic Center has an interim doctor in charge until Doctor Ruth Kohlmeier takes over in August.
This week, the center's parent company announced they will be closing their operations in Conroe but says that shouldn't affect Ector County's facilities.
