Bond Set for Midland Shooting Suspects

MIDLAND - New details have been released in connection with a Midland murder investigation.

A one million dollar bond has been set for the victim's brother.

Jarvis Mitchell is accused of killing 29-year-old Weldon Cooks.

Cook's own parents were also charged in the deadly shooting, their bond was set on Thursday at a million dollars each.

Investigators found Cooks on the porch of his home with a gunshot wound to the abdomen.

He died at the hospital the next morning.

Authorities say the trio were the only ones there at the time of the shooting.

They also face charges of tampering with evidence.
