MIDLAND - After getting caught red-handed with almost half a ton of pot and $180,000 in cold hard cash, an Odessa man has admitted to dealing marijuana.

41-year-old Reynaldo Valenzuela plead guilty to federal charges in Midland.

He's going to get at least five years in prison, but could end up with a much longer stay of up to 40 years behind bars.

Valenzuela was arrested back in march at a home on east 36th Street.

A swat team with a warrant, along with immigration and custom enforcement, raided the home and made the arrest.

Police found 950 pounds of marijuana stashed all over the house.

Law enforcement says the marijuana is worth a half a million dollars on the streets.

But Valenzuela also had plenty of cash on hand, about $180,000.

Valenzuela is set to be sentenced in September.
