ODESSA - Five Odessa teens racked up more than $25,000 worth of damage to cars, trucks and mailboxes.

Police say they're behind a big vandalism spree over the weekend.

18-year-old Taylor Holman, 18-year-old Brian Yoes, 17-year-old Anthonie Higgens and two minors were arrested on Saturday morning.

They're all accused of smashing a pipe into everything from windshields and mirrors to mailboxes in two Odessa neighborhoods.

Police tell NewsWest 9, the vandalism spree began in the 6600 block of Amber around 5:00a.m. when they started getting calls about people in a pick-up smashing vehicles and other property.

While on the scene, police got another call in the 5300 block of Esmond.

Officers say that's where they caught up to the pick-up and suspects.

They've been charged with engaging in organized criminal activity.

Authorities say the boys told them this was a way to 'just have fun'.

In all, 27 different vehicles were targeted.

The minors were taken to the youth detention center.

The three other suspects bonded out of jail on a $25,000 bond.
