Bringing alcohol to Andrews now sits in the hands of voters.

County commissioners have approved two petitions for the November 2nd election.

The first would legalize the sale of beer and wine in grocery stores and convenience stores.

The second would allow the sale of mixed beverages in licensed restaurants.

Organizers with the group "Promote Andrews" started the two petitions to bring alcohol sales to town in hopes of bringing new businesses and profits to the community.
