Woman Arrested for Allegedly Running Gambling Business in Big Spring

BIG SPRING - One woman rolled the dice and lost.

She's charged in an illegal gambling operation after a bust in Big Spring.

Bedazzle owner, Karla Kay Nix, was arrested on Wednesday.

She's charged with keeping a gambling place, having gambling equipment and promoting gambling.

It stems from a raid back at the end of May.

Undercover officers went into three different businesses, played and were paid in cash or visa cards for their winnings.

In all, about 120 eight liners and Internet based computers were seized, along with cash and other gambling items.

The other two businesses raided were Cherokee Internet Cafe and Gold Rush.

More arrests are expected.
