Traffic Stop Turns Into Foot Chase in Midland County

MIDLAND COUNTY - A traffic stop in Midland County turns into a chase with State Troopers.

It happened around 8:00p.m. on County Road 1198, just south of Midland.

State troopers tell NewsWest 9, they tried to stop the driver for a traffic violation, but he jumped out of his car and took off.

He ran toward the Ridge Heights neighborhood, sprinted through one of the homes and into a field behind the house.

That's where State Troopers were finally able to catch him.

Right now, he's in custody.

No word yet on what charges the suspect will face.
