Big Spring Police Investigating Home Invasion

BIG SPRING - Big Spring Police have arrested two people in connection with a home invasion robbery.

It happened late Thursday night in the 400 block of State. Police say five to seven people kicked in the front and side doors of the home and entered armed with guns.

The suspects demanded money and held the family at gunpoint while they ransacked the home. One suspect pistol whipped the male victim and pointed their weapons at two young children.

The suspects threatened to kill the family if they called police before they left.

A short time after the robbery, and before the crime had even been reported, police noticed a car traveling north on State without headlights. Police say the people inside the car threw out a shotgun before stopping the car and fleeing on foot.

Officers were able to catch two of the subjects. Police recovered property that was stolen from the home during the arrests.

Police arrested 31-year-old Felix Jaramillo and a 16-year-old male teen. Both have been charged with Aggravated Robbery. Police are still investigating and expect to make more arrests.

The male victim was taken to the hospital, but has been released. The other family members were not injured.
