Midland Police Searching for Suspect Involved in Overnight Shooting

MIDLAND - Midland Police remain on the hunt for a man involved in an overnight shooting.

The shooting happened at the corner of Lamesa and Estes around 12:15 Wednesday morning.

Police say 50-year-old Melvin Dunson was arguing with another man over money, when that man pulled out a pistol and fired two times.

Dunson was hit by one bullet in the right shoulder, the other grazed his chin.

The suspect rode off on a bicycle.

Police know who they're looking for and are close to making an arrest.
