MIDLAND - It's a plan to put kids on the court and keep them out of court.
That's the word from organizers with the new Midland Tennis Center.
On Wednesday, supporters unveiled their plans to start work on a new facility in the northwest part of town.
They say Midland lacks community tennis courts, so they plan to build a 35 court facility that will be open to the public.
Right now, the non-profit has raised about three million dollars and bought 26 acres at the corner of Briarwood and Holiday Hill Road.
Directors say they'll also provide much of the equipment for local players.
The first phase of building should be finished in less than a year.
