Three Suspected Gambling Stores Raided in Big Spring

BIG SPRING - Authorities in Howard County have raided three businesses suspected of being involved with illegal gambling.

Warrants were executed late Friday night at the following locations in Big Spring:

  • Bedazzle, 1907 Birdwell Lane Ste. G
  • Cherokee Internet Cafe, 1600 East 4th Street
  • Gold Rush, 804 East 3rd

Authorities seized 120 8-liner machines and Internet based computer gaming machines, cash, documents and other items.

Undercover officers entered each business, paid a fee and were paid in cash or Visa cards with a cash value.

No arrests have been made at this time. Criminal cases are currently being prepared and arrests could be coming soon.

The investigation was conducted by the Howard County Sheriff's Office, the Big Spring Police Department and the State Comptrollers Office.
