ODESSA - Some bad news for the Odessa toddler attacked by the family dog.

On Sunday night, the mother of Braydon Wright tells NewsWest Nine, her one year old son will lose his left eye.

You'll remember the little boy had brain surgery and about 900 stitches to the head after the April attack.

This week, the family will go to Lubbock to talk to a plastic surgeon before they schedule the surgery to remove Braydon's eye.

His mother says there are more surgeries in the boys future.

Already the family believes the medical bills will surpass a million dollars.

So far, West Texans have helped them raise $2,000 through a benefit account in Braydon Wright's name at Commercial State Bank.
