KERMIT - Two bomb threats at Kermit High School in two weeks, now authorities are closing in on their man.

Kermit Police officials say phone records helped them track the suspect down to Illinois.

All the evidence points to a former Kermit student.

It's believed the 16-year-old made the prank calls on May 5th and May 11th.

Those calls forced the evacuation and search of the high school.

Texas Rangers, FBI, Odessa Bomb Squad and the Winkler County Sheriff's Department assisted in both calls.

No bombs were found.
