ODESSA - An Odessa woman who has been leading a public battle against drug charges has struck a plea deal.
Yolanda Madden pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance on Monday in Midland Federal Court.
Under the deal, she would be sentenced to time served and not have to back to prison.
Madden was arrested back in 2005 for selling drugs to an undercover Odessa officer, but claimed she was set up by police.
A new trial was ordered for Madden after it was discovered that a booking sheet was not admitted by prosecutors.
Madden's plea deal still has to be approved by a judge in July.
Her attorney tells NewsWest 9 that the Madden family is happy to get the issue behind them.
