BIG SPRING - More than 20 people sit in the Big Spring jail after a big drug bust. Authorities not only nabbed them but drugs, guns and stolen goods.

In all, 20 people landed behind bars thanks to Big Spring police and Howard County deputies.

Investigators say the Big Spring Narcotics Division was working on this case for six months.

Police tell NewsWest 9, this was an undercover operation geared at getting drug dealers.

We're told the people who were arrested were not necessarily working together, but they are all part of the drug problem they are trying to solve.

"Its going to have an immediate impact. How serious the impact will be? Who knows. A lot of these guys that are dealing will stay underground, afraid that they are next by the same token. There are some out there doing it, and the Narcotics Division is going to go out there looking for them," Sgt. Tony Everett with Big Spring Police Department, said.

The items that were seized included marijuana, cocaine, meth, 10 guns and various stolen tools.

Police are trying to return some of the stolen items, more arrests could be on the way.
