ALPINE - Some good news for students at Alpine High School.
A recent ranking put them in the top 25 percent statewide.
It's part of this year's Children at Risk annual school rankings.
To get on the list, a school must meet a specific set of criteria including TAKS tests, attendance rate, graduation numbers and more.
The non-profit first started ranking schools in 2006 as a way to draw attention to education problems in Houston but over the years started ranking schools statewide.
