New Mexico Man Convicted of Killing His Cousin

NEW MEXICO - A New Mexico man is waiting to learn his fate for killing his cousin last year.

28-year-old Jessie Freeman was convicted in a Lea County courtroom on Wednesday of murdering 50-year-old Robert Fleetwood.

Fleetwood was found in his home near Tatum with two gunshot wounds in the head.

Freeman is facing a mandatory life sentence for the crime.

No sentencing date has been set.
