BIG SPRING - Future city and school leader hopefuls had the chance to push their platform in Big Spring. Tuesday night's candidate forum was hosted by the Big Spring Chamber of Commerce.

Voters got a chance to hear what the candidates had to say about themselves and their plans if they get elected.

Big Spring ISD kicked things off with a presentation about the proposed school bond. Then it was candidates turn to sell themselves. After the forum, the audience had a chance to meet with the candidates and express their concerns.

Voters and candidates thought this forum was helpful to get the people informed. The forum featured candidates for school board slots in Big Spring and Coahoma and Big Spring City Council and Mayor.

Only three of the four folks vying for the Mayor's spot showed up. All the candidates said they hope the forum will draw more voters to the polls.

Early voting begins next week and Election Day is May 8th.
