ODESSA - After more than four hours, a jury has been selected for the trial against a former Texas Youth Commission (TYC) Administrator.

The five men, seven women jury will begin hearing testimony in the case beginning on Tuesday morning.

44-year-old Ray Brookins is one of two former administrators accused of sexually abusing teen inmates at the Texas Youth Commission Jail in Pyote.

Brookins faces two counts each of having an improper relationship with a student and sexual activity with a person in custody.

Brookins' case was originally set to be held in Monahans, but was moved last year to Odessa.

Brookins and former Pyote Principal John Paul Hernandez were indicted by a grand jury in Monahans in April 2007 after a Texas Rangers' investigation of allegations by six inmates.
