Big Lake Teens Arrested for Breaking into County Buildings

BIG LAKE - Two 16-year-old Reagan County boys are in jail after allegedly causing thousands of dollars in damage to county buildings.

The Reagan County Sheriff's Office says the pair broke into the Reagan County Activity Building and Community Center a couple of weeks ago. They did about $5,000 worth of damage, which is a state jail felony.

It was actually one of the boys' mothers who brought him and had the teen confess to breaking windows, destroying decorations and damaging county property. Shortly thereafter, they picked up the second one.

Right now, the teens are in the Tom Green County Detention Center charged with criminal mischief. A hearing is set for April 23rd.
