MIDLAND/ODESSA - EZ Rider is speaking out about their budget woes.

The Midland-Odessa Urban Transit District says they are currently looking for ways to get out of the red.

The bus system received $50,000 less than expected this year from TXDOT.

The transit board hopes to balance the budget without cutting bus service and does not intend on asking Midland or Odessa for more funding.

If bus routes are cut, public hearings will be held first.

EZ Rider's general manager has already announced plans to leave at the end of May.
