Pneumonia Cases Continue to Rise at the Big Spring Federal Prison

BIG SPRING - The number of pneumonia cases at the federal prison in Big Spring continue to climb.

The latest case was reported last week, bringing the total number of cases to 39 since last November.

Prison officials say all the inmates affected have been treated, and they continue to educate inmates and staff on precautionary measures to prevent the spread of germs

For now, inmate transfers have been suspended but otherwise prison operations continue as normal and visitation has not been affected.
