ODESSA - A small freon leak caused an Odessa Elementary School to be evacuated on Thursday afternoon.

Around 2:30p.m., the school was evacuated, after what appeared to be smoke, seeped into a 5th grade classroom through an air vent.

When officials arrived on the scene, the smoke was actually a fog that was created by the leak from one of the school's air conditioning vents.

Students returned back to the building after about 15 minutes.

The students inside the classroom stayed in the school's gym until school let out for the day.
