PECOS - A hot debate in Pecos prompted an investigation by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).
A series of messy sewer overflows has city engineers pointing a finger at the area's biggest employer, TransPecos Foods who manufacture fried foods.
They say their batter and grease is clogging city lines, but the company says it's not all their fault.
If the problem isn't fixed, the city may even lose their state wastewater license, something that may affect everyone in town.
At this point, city leaders say the TCEQ is gathering documents and pictures and they'll soon launch their own investigation.
