BIG SPRING - 3,100 electric customers spent about an hour in the dark on Wednesday all because of a bird.

The power went out around 10:45a.m. to ONCOR customers in Big Spring.

A spokesperson tells NewsWest 9, a bird got into a large transformer at the sub-station, which is what caused the problem.

Crews were able to get the power restored to most customers in about thirty minutes.
