MIDLAND - New police roving units in Midland are solving a few traffic headaches for those elementary campus carpool lines.

The Midland ISD Police Chief tells NewsWest 9, this month they brought on two extra units, who are responsible for managing traffic around each elementary campus.

He says it's keeping those campuses safer during drop-off and pick-up every day.

Not only are they tackling traffic but those new officers are also helping principals handle behavioral issues.
