MIDLAND - It's a good idea to avoid the intersection of Wadley and Big Spring in Midland for a few weeks.
Crews are repairing a traffic light damaged in a one car accident last week.
The concrete foundation will be poured on Wednesday, but the concrete has to set for a week before any additional work can be done.
Transportation officials hope to have the signal up and running by next Friday.
In the meantime, drivers are being asked to have patience.
"We've worked this as an emergency to try to get it up as quickly as possible, with all the entities involved. It's an inconvenience, but if they could just avoid it, as much as possible, that's the best way to avoid congestion at that intersection," City of Midland Transportation Manager, Gary Saunders, said.
It will cost around $5,000 dollars to repair the damage and replace the signal.
