WEST TEXAS - Despite a shaky economy, West Texas continues to grow.

The Census Bureau released estimates for 2009 earlier this week.

Both Midland and Odessa have grown by about 3,000 people in the past year.

Big Spring and Andrews are also still seeing growth, both saw an increase in population by about 300 people.

Of course, these are just estimates as the real census is underway right now.
