ODESSA - This coming Christmas, Starbright Village will be back to its original glory after strong winds wrecked the giant tree and the archway last year.
The City Council agreed to buy a new tree and archway and they will be delivered in time for next year's display at McKinney Park.
Last year, powerful winds ripped through the set-up two weeks before Christmas, bending the fifty foot tall in half and mangling the archway.
The new tree is a little more expensive, but the parks and recreation director tells NewsWest 9 it is re-enforced to handle stronger weather.
The cost for the tree and archway is a little less than $80,000.
