Mississippi Man Pleads Guilty to Growing Mushrooms

A Mississippi man, busted in Odessa last year, is headed to federal prison after admitting to growing mushrooms.

29-year-old Christopher Clark Day pleaded guilty in federal court on Monday.

Back in October of last year, Odessa Police searched his house in Odessa and found mushroom spores, fertilizers and other mushroom growing paraphernalia all over the house.

The mushrooms have hallucinogenic effects similar to LSD.

He faces up to 20 years in prison.
