Jaws of Life Used After Accident on Highway 191

MIDLAND COUNTY - A driver had to be pried out of his car after a wreck on Highway 191.

The crash happened on the FM 1788 overpass.

Troopers and Midland Police who were working the scene say a truck and car were both headed west when the truck hit the car.

The car spun out of control, was hit again by the truck, then slammed into the guardrail.

Rescue workers had to use the Jaws of Life to get the driver out of the car.

He and his passenger were taken to the hospital.

No word on if any tickets were handed out.
