MIDLAND - We now know where the white powder from Wednesday's HAZMAT scare came from.

Investigators believe it came from portable fire extinguishers.

A Midland postal worker came into contact with it while making his rounds on the Weatherford street, which caused him to have trouble breathing.

Investigators found it in several spots along the street.

We're told the powder is a lung and skin irritant.

The postal worker was treated, and is expected to be just fine.
