PECOS COUNTY - Clayton William's company cleared a big hurdle in moving water out of Pecos County.
Fort Stockton Holding's application permit was given the thumbs up.
On Wednesday, the Middle Pecos Groundwater District gave their approval saying the problems with permit are now fixed, but it's not a done deal yet.
The District still has to give their final approval.
We're told the first hearing on the permit will be held in April.
You can bet, the city of Fort Stockton and Pecos County will be there.
They've been fighting, tooth and nail, to keep water from being shipped out of their area.
As NewsWest 9 has reported, William's camp claims it won't hurt the area.
The company's already been using the water, now they just want to ship the same amount they use and sell it.
