BIG SPRING - Businesses along Gregg Street in Big Spring are getting ready to hold a big party. The goal is to bring their customers back.

For months, those businesses have had to deal with construction on Gregg Street. Now that Gregg Street is open again, a party is being planned to bring customers back to the area.

The Big Spring Chamber of Commerce is helping out in the celebration. A street party is being held on March 27 from 11a.m. - 4p.m. The businesses plan to give away free food, coupons, and they'll also provide games and music.

In the meantime, the Chamber of Commerce is also trying to get the city involved.

"We are hoping to have the Mayor and a proclamation and have like a mini parade where we can try to involve our classic cars," Debbye Valverde with the  Big Spring Chamber of Commerce, said.

They're also trying get to get the veterans from the VA Hospital involved in the celebration. No streets will be closed for this event.
