ODESSA - Ector County hot check writers here's your heads up to take of those checks before the law comes looking for you.

Starting on Monday, March 15th through April 30th, local law enforcement will be looking for people who have been passing bad checks.

County Attorney Cindy Weir-Nutter tells NewsWest 9, some of those warrants date back 20 years.

One person that's wanted wrote checks totaling more than $30,000.

Authorities say the round-up isn't about arresting people, they just want the money that's owed.

You can avoid getting arrested by contacting the County Attorney's office to make arrangements to pay those hot checks off.
