More than three years of selling meth finally catches up with a Monahans nurse.

44-year-old Gina Briones has to spend more than five years in federal prison after pleading guilty to buying massive amounts of a cold medicine that's used to make meth.

She was busted in September and a few months later admitted that for nearly four years, she and others went out of their way to buy up loads of the meds.

Authorities are using Briones as an example warning anyone who makes meth that they're always scrutinizing pharmacy records and keeping tabs on people who are buying unusual amounts of any of the drugs used to make meth.
